HOW WE WORK
Our students
We are proud to have supported, to date, a total of 50 students through their school journey.
Some stats to be proud of!
2018 – a total of 39 student bursaries since conception of the project. 14 graduates, 20 primary kids in sleeping accommodation including 4 rescue kids and the 3rd cohort finished their four-year education
2019 22 graduates in total with our 4th cohort and a total of 44 students supported.
2020 50 + and a thriving nursery!
Donation Stability
Our focus continues to promote a commitment of monthly funds from individuals for up to 4 years to maintain a stable platform from which our bursary scheme for MaaChild will grow. More importantly it means student can attend school with peace of mind knowing their 4 years is secure, removing any fear of being ordered home because fees have not been paid. This fear is a reality for many other secondary school pupils.
The trustees and volunteers give their time freely and receive no remuneration or other rewards or other financial benefits. The overriding objective of MaaChild is to apply all donations for exclusively charitable purposes to meet the objectives of the charity and having regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit and the charity's objectives set out in the Constitution.
Become a Friend of MaaChild
We are a growing charity that continues to develop its reputable social purpose by proudly providing stability and hope to the Maasai children into the future.
We invite you to share in this hope.
